Let's get real: sometimes you want to take your kids to play, and sometimes you want to drop them off with caring, capable adults and run the other way. We get it, and have been there. Here are some suggestions for places where you can drop off the kiddos for a few hours and go do you. Some of the places listed also work well as back-up child care.
PRO TIP: Most places require medical records/immunization records to be on file before you can drop your child off for the first time. Come prepared! I highly suggest getting this from your pediatrician and saving a photo of it to your phone's camera roll.
Adventure Kids Playcare has multiple locations. For kids ages 6 weeks - 12 years.
KidsPark in Arlington is for kids ages 2 years -12 years.
Kids Play Two in Carrollton is for kids ages 18 months - 10 years.
Kiddin' Around Playcare in Frisco is for kids ages 6 weeks - 11 years.
YMCA locations across North Texas have child care options. Check your local branch for specifics. My YMCA is the Semones YMCA (formerly the Town North YMCA), and offers Parents' Day Out and Parents' Night Out options two Saturdays per month for children 6 weeks - 12 years. The options are from 1:00pm - 4:00pm and from 6:30pm - 10:30pm.

Friday Night Open Gym is offered from 7:00pm – 9:00pm year-round. The cost is $10 per child and is for ages 3 years – 13 years.
Friday Afternoon Open Gym is from 1:30pm – 2:30pm during the school year. The cost is $5 per child and is for ages 3 years - 6 years.
Best Night Out is offered the 2nd Saturday night of each month from 6:00pm - 10:00pm. The cost is $25 per child and siblings receive a $5 discount. Dinner and a drink are provided. Best Night Out is for children ages 3 years (potty trained) and older.
